2024 Acura Integra: The Latest Acura Integra Compact Car Review

2024 Acura Integra what might be the Acura Integra Type S 2024 has caught testing on the public road. We’re breaking down the pictures for clues.

When the Acura Integra 2023 was revealed, it set the internet on fire with polarized opinions. Some welcomed the new direction Acura was heading while others stood firm against it; even launched the hashtag #NotMyIntegra.

More moderate-minded people decided to wait and see how the liftback actually went before passing judgment.

In our first drive of the 2023 Acura Integra, we found a lot to like. While the Integra doesn’t do much nostalgia for the previous models, it does offer an enjoyable driving experience very similar to the fun found behind the wheel of the 2022 Honda Civic Si. That’s not surprising considering the Integra and Civic currently share the same platform.

Despite the above-average driving dynamics and a fairly luxurious interior, it’s understandable that some people are not convinced.

It’s one thing for Acura to bring back the Integra as an alternative to the high-end Civic, but fans of the previous model (and purists) want to see the new platform pushed to its limits.

2024 Acura Integra Review

Acura is reviving the Integra nameplate for the 2023 model year. With the return of the compact car as a new vehicle after a long absence, we expect the Acura 2024 Acura Integra to be a carryover model.

2024 Acura Integra

On the outside, we expect the 2024 Integra to have the same exterior design as the current model on sale. The current Integra features an angled front end with a triangular grille, sharp headlights and an aggressive front fascia.

The rear of the Integra has a dashing design to look like a high-end Sportback, while the diamond-shaped taillights and dual exhaust outlets add to the sporty feel. In a throwback to the old Integra, Acura has placed “INTEGRA” under the left headlights and under the right taillights.

As a carryover model, the 2024 Integra should maintain the same interior design as the current hatchback. The interior of the Integra shares many components and design elements with the Honda Civic. The dashboard has lots of sweeping elements and a centralized center console with physical controls.

The infotainment screen sits above the dashboard and is placed in front of the center console for easy access from the driver’s seat. Thanks to the Integra hatchback body, the vehicle offers up to 24.3 cubic feet of cargo space.

2024 Acura Integra Interior

The current Integra comes with a 7-inch touchscreen, 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, eight audio speakers, Bluetooth, USB port, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay.

2024 Acura Integra

Available features include a 9-inch touchscreen, 16-speaker audio system, wireless smartphone compatibility, Wi-Fi hot spots, Amazon Alexa, HD Radio, satellite radio, and a wireless charging pad. These features should continue to be available for the 2024 model year.

Each Integra comes with a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine. The 2024 Acura Integra should continue to be offered with the same engine.

The engine produces 200 horsepower and can be paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission or a six-speed manual transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard with the Integra.

Acura offers the Integra with a comprehensive list of standard safety features. We don’t expect the hatchback equipment list to change for the next model year. Standard features include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane guard assistance, blind spot monitoring, rear traffic warning, traffic sign recognition, traffic jam assistance and adaptive cruise control.

Available features include parking sensors, a heads-up display, and windshield wipers that detect rain.

2024 Acura Integra SpyShot

Thanks to some spy shots from AllCarNews, we may have caught a glimpse of the first Acura Integra Type S 2024 performance variant.

Their photography ninja has spied on the Acura 2024 Acura Integra on the road and although the vehicle is completely covered in a marquee-style camo, its silhouette delivers. Especially from the front view where the large Integra grille gives it.

However, what really gives this car is the rear view. It can be clearly seen that this Integra uses the same triple exhaust tips found on the Civic Type R 2023.

AllCarNews speculates that the exhaust tip is a clear symbol that this is a 2024 Integra Type S undergoing public road testing.

This is a compelling argument given the available evidence. Of course there’s no official word from Acura regarding these images, but as soon as we have more information, we’ll get to that.

2024 Acura Integra Type S Prototype

Coming 2023 for the 2024 model year, Acura will sweeten the deal with a 2.0-liter turbo Civic Type R for the Integra Type S. Recently spied on in Ohio, the prototype clearly shows the Acura-specific front grille and taillights in combination with the FL5 exhaust system. CTR .

2024 Acura Integra

Inspired by the iconic exhaust layout of the Ferrari F40 limited supercar, the Honda version is more than just a design choice. Introduced a few years ago by the FK8 CTR, this exhaust is designed to adjust flow depending on vehicle speed.

The outer pipe has a straight flow muffler, and the smaller center pipe is designed to function as a resonator.

More exhaust flows into the resonator at lower speeds, producing the sound you’d expect from a hot hatch. But once you get to the highway, for the long haul, the back pressure diverts exhaust gases through the muffler.

For the All-New Civic Type R, the Japanese automaker went the extra mile by adding an active exhaust valve programmed to open at high engine speeds.

Depicted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S rubber boots, just like the FL5, the Integra Type S prototype also flaunts Brembo calipers and slightly larger intakes that channel more air into the force-fed engine.

Of course, we also dealt with slightly better cooling for the front brakes and engine bay.

Likely to be offered exclusively with a manual tranny, the Acura-branded Civic Type R should produce over 300 horsepower.

The FL5, for example, produces 315 horsepower and 310 pound-feet (420 Nm) in this part of the world. Japan, on the other hand, got 325 ponies.
