The new Acura EV SUV will be developed at GM’s Spring Hill plant in Tennessee, where the Cadillac Lyriq will also be developed.

In the previous version, Honda announced an electric SUV based on the GM Global EV Platform, which entered the market last year as a new step towards being emission-free by 2040. Now the electric car competition is fierce, a new chapter for the Tesla Model Y and Acura MDX electric vehicles.

Although we don’t know many details about the specifications and features of the latest 2024 Acura MDX EV, we are very positive that Acura is still using GM’s Global EV platform which is powered by GM’s Ultium Lithium-ion battery and Ultium Drive electric motor.

Where we expect the 2024 Acura MDX to offer a range of 300 to 350 miles, as can be seen in the case of GM’s Cadillac Lyriq-sized EV.

  • Spacious cabin

Where in this we are very positive it seems that the 2024 Acura will be an All-Electric variation.

Switch to the Honda Prologue, which will debut in 2024. Which will certainly be the first thing followed by the Acura SUV.

Therefore, Honda’s reliability in building technology from General Motors may have been one of the best combinations ever in the automotive world today.

2024 Acura MDX Interior

Speaking of the interior on the inside we speculate a 2024 Acura SUV This is a luxury category with 3 rows of seats. The individual seats in the second row can be shifted back and forth and the Middle seats can be folded into a fully removable wide armrest which creates easier access than in the third row.

The rear legroom in the second row is quite spacious with a size of 38.5 inches, and there are 29.1 inches in the third row which is more suitable for smaller and more agile family members.

The front seats are very comfortable and supported by standard heating which makes this car more effective. The dashboard is supported by a 12.3-inch infotainment display with digital driver information of the same size as standard so that the cabin becomes slicker.

Another interesting feature that is not inferior is the three-zone automatic climate control that can be set and the driver’s side memory settings. The tallest Type S with the Advance package also features massaging front seats, the first time available in the new MDX luxury SUV.

The infotainment aspect is also presented easy to navigate with the help of a trackpad like on a laptop although its use takes some getting used to, but this is a strong touch that makes Acura more ergonomic.

Cargo space ranges from 16.3 to 95 cubic feet making the Acura MDX one of the best classes in this regard.

2024 Acura MDX Exterior

of the 2024 Acura MDX is expected to come with LED headlights as well as daytime running lights and taillights. then at the top, it is equipped with a panoramic roof which is part of all Acura MDX mid-range luxury packages.

2024 Acura MDX

No less important are the 19-inch wheels that are also present on the Acura MDX and the S type comes with 21-inch wheels.

Then the 2024 Acura MDX is also expected to come with A-Spec and Type S variants, each of which has its own best performance package.

The A-Spec variant gets bigger with black exterior elements coupled with 20-inch alloy wheels with a Stark Gray finish. Apex Blue Pearl is the exclusive color for A-Spec in our opinion.

While the Type S variant has larger front air intakes plus brake calipers painted red and an active quad exhaust system.

Air Suspension MDX Type S

The first for the Acura MDX Type S is equipped with standard air suspension. Supported by stiffer struts and adaptive dampers.

This new suspension setup allows for varying ride heights depending on the selected riding mode. It’s down 0.6 inches in Sport and Sport+ and up 2.0 inches in Lift mode.

We can safely say that this suspension is more comfortable and controlled than what Acura offers on non-Type S MDX models.

Acura developed this extraordinary system with input from Elliott Scheiner, a Grammy-award-winning studio engineer who controls some of the biggest names in the business — such as Beyonce, Sting, and Foo Fighters. 2024 MDX Engine

We also expect the 2024 Acura MDX to have an engine upgrade to make this SUV a more robust 3.5-liter V6 that produces 290 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque. It is connected to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

2024 Acura MDX

The MDX Type S has a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that produces 355 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive is standard, along with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Acura recommends premium gasoline for both engines.

290 horsepower @ 6,200 rpm
Torque 267 lb-ft @ 4,700 rpm
EPA city/highway Fuel economy: 19/26 mpg (FWD), 19/25 mpg (AWD)

Higher trims have all-wheel drive as standard. The most expensive version before the Type S was $63K. With a more powerful engine, the Type S starts at $68,350. And the Advance plan makes it $72.7K. The top pick across the range is premium paint for $500.
